Understand Weidian, Taobao and 1688 product links
A seller link identifies the listing. A shared catalog link helps you find it again. An agent link opens a buying service. Keeping those roles separate makes comparing and sharing products much easier.
Keep the marketplace and product ID together. A number on its own may not uniquely identify a listing.
Start with the original listing
Weidian, Taobao and 1688 use their own listing URLs. A product ID in a URL identifies an item within that marketplace. Different marketplaces can use the same numeric ID, so saving only the number can create ambiguity.
A Weidian URL may include itemID in its query string. Other marketplaces put identifiers in different positions. Keep the full source URL rather than trying to rebuild it from a number when you are not sure which marketplace it belongs to.
Use a catalog link for sharing a find
A KakoPicks product page groups the listing information into a page you can revisit. If the seller link contains several styles, the selected option can be included in the shared URL. That makes it easier to discuss a particular color or model.
For example, a product URL with ?style=… carries more context than the same page without that parameter. Use the product’s Share control when you want to keep the selected style. The final options still need to be checked at the agent before purchasing.
What an agent link changes
An agent link opens a listing through a shopping service. It may encode the source URL or carry the marketplace and item ID as parameters. The agent then presents its own ordering interface, pricing information and available options.
Converting a link does not verify the product, reserve stock or confirm every size. Compare the image, title, seller and selected variant after the agent page loads. If the wrong listing appears, return to the original source rather than relying on a similar title.
Use the converter without losing context
- Copy the complete product link, rather than a screenshot of the address.
- Open Tools → Link converter on KakoPicks.
- Paste the supported source link and open the result.
- Check the marketplace, product, selected options and price on the destination page.
The converter supports the source formats recognized by KakoPicks. If a copied message includes extra text or a shortened link is not recognized, open the source in your browser and copy the full product URL. Do not replace it with an unrelated listing just because the product name looks similar.
Keep a short record of your choice
Save three things together: the original source link, the shared catalog link and your intended options. Add the date if you are comparing prices over time. A title or photo may change while a listing stays at the same URL.
If a product becomes unavailable, an old shared link cannot restore the seller’s stock. Look for another listing, then repeat the identity and photo checks. Our spreadsheet guide walks through that comparison from the beginning.
