Find sneakers with image search on KakoPicks

An image search is a way to find candidates when you do not know the product name. A clear crop and a deliberate comparison matter more than accepting the first result.

The short version

Visual similarity helps you discover possibilities. Check the model and selected style yourself.

Choose a photo that shows the shoe clearly

A side view often gives the search useful shape information: the sole profile, panel arrangement and overall silhouette. Pick a picture where the shoe takes up a reasonable part of the frame. A large background or several overlapping products can make the target less clear.

If you have more than one image, start with the view that best distinguishes the model. For two similar white sneakers, the heel shape and panel seams may be more useful than an overhead shot dominated by white laces.

Crop to one item, with a little space around it

Open image search on KakoPicks and upload your photo or use a supported image link. Adjust the crop around the item you want to find. Leave enough room to include the toe, heel and sole rather than cutting away the outline.

If a photo contains a whole outfit, isolate the shoes for a shoe search. If the result is too broad, try a cleaner crop or a different angle. Repeating the same unclear image without changing anything usually gives you little new information.

Compare shape before color

Results can share a color or texture while showing a different model. Before following a product link, compare the sole shape, toe box, panel boundaries, lacing and heel. Then compare the color and smaller details.

A pale low-top sneaker is not automatically the model you photographed. Treat a similarity score as a sorting aid, not a verified probability that the product is correct. The catalog also has to contain a suitable listing for the search to find it.

Once you have a possible model name, search the catalog with that name and compare the alternatives. Narrow to the sneakers category so unrelated items do not distract from the comparison. Add a color or collaboration name only when you can identify it reliably.

If a result groups several styles under one seller link, open the page and select the matching style. The image shown in a search result is only the starting point. Read the source listing and inspect the selected option before ordering.

Share the result, then check the listing

Use the shared results link when comparing a search with someone else, and the product’s Share control when you have selected a specific listing. These serve different purposes: one preserves the search context, while the other points to the item you are discussing.

Finish with the same checks you would make after a text search: seller link, style, size, current price and available QC. Our QC photo guide explains why photos from another order are useful references but cannot confirm your future order.
